Yes — the bikes are water resistant. In heavy rain we recommend switching the electrical system off to protect it, and only using it again once everything is dry.

Yes. Down to −10 °C the system works without any problems; only the range may be a little shorter in the cold. At very low temperatures, charge and store the battery indoors, fit it to the bike immediately before setting off, and ride with the assistance adjusted. Take the battery back inside on arrival and charge it there.

After use, charge it to 80% or more before storing. For long-term storage, top it back up to 80% or more every two months.

Yes. Plenty of carrier systems on the market will take it. Before buying one, check with the dealer that the carrier is suitable for an e-bike — they are heavier than a conventional bicycle.

Each bike comes with a separate charging device that connects to any 110 / 220 V socket. The charge level can be read from the display on the handlebars or directly on the battery. If the battery is not going to be used for a long time, it is best stored at around 60% charge, in a dry place at room temperature.

Around 0.7 kWh is required to fully charge a 500 Wh battery. At an electricity price of 28 cents per kWh, that is roughly 20 cents per charge.

It depends heavily on the assistance level, the pace and the terrain. Temperature, wind, rider weight, cargo and tyre pressure all move the number as well, which is why a single range figure is never the whole story.

The rear wheel bolt is square, so it goes in and comes out the same way. Unplug the motor wires, carefully undo the bolts, note how the washer is fitted, then remove in the same direction.

Depending on the country, dealers offer models assisting up to 25 km/h. Above that the motor assistance switches off. Levels 1–5 give different amounts of assistance below that limit.

Motor does not cut out when braking — check the brake wires. Motor noisy under load — check whether the bike has been ridden for a long stretch. Battery not charging — check the battery.
